ArSe has Gospel Burnout and that song blows
Idk but I wouldn’t let a couple songs ruin an album for me esp with this band. Afterburner bats at least 9 outta 13 for me. I put it in a playlist with the 2 singles from last year and it slaps pretty good.

Ooooooh, what songs did you cut? And honestly ArSe has two tracks for me that are lackluster compared to the rest of the album but I still love those songs (Gospel Burnout and Story of My Bros). The Bros song is just straight up silly fun which I can dig.

lmao I'm not even trying to be, just giving my opinions. ArSe as a whole just sounds so boring to me. I liked it for about a month and now it's just relatively uninteresting to me.
my DGD Tilly opinions are pretty simple. I love AS through Mothership, I don't really care for ArSe as a whole, and Afterburner is def lazy sounding but there's some fun stuff on here.

i genuinely think that if Calentamiento was just had Tilian singing normal basic Tilian lyrics in English, it would be getting far less ridicule. it's a genuinely great song despite being the most obvious gimmick in their discography. i feel like the back and forth is at it's absolute best here and I love how it builds in intensity.
Bassy's first half does get a little repetitive. and i totally see why DGD fans wouldn't care for it. but ugh that 2nd half never ceases to amaze

ArSe has so many meh tracks. Son of Robot is like the laziest vocal song for both of em. Story of My Bros is lame. Care is just worse Inspire The Liars. songs like Slouch and Suspended In This Disaster are good on their own but don't stand out. Evaporate is the most god damn overrated thing I've ever heard simply because of the jumbled reference section. it feels like they did it to do it without it actually feeling emotionally significant performance wise. The Rattler and Count Bassy are some of my faves but they do each have significant drawbacks. the only 3 songs I have no problems with/love are Gospel Burnout, Shelf Life, and Bloodsucker.
but hey, those are just my opinions. as long as we all like Mothership, I'm happy. love you all, afterburner thread.
