Having been consistently put off by the minimal ambient Nick cave phase for many years, decided to revisit the last 3 albums. This has grown on me a bit and having just accepted it for what it is, I find it surprisingly pleasant getting lost in the waves of synths and ambient washes - but what totally destroys the album for me is the final 4 minutes of Hollywood - what should be the final impact of Buddha’s tale is ruined by a quite frankly comical falsetto. So gutted it ended like that.

Need to give this another go.
