yeah this is growing on me hard. I think what someone said above about personality is right on the money.

It's very awesome agreed. The personality and soul are what I loved so much about Heritage. This has it too, PC and Sorceress didn't really.

PC had it in moments. River mostly stuck with me, and Goblin reminded me of Persona 5 (liked by default). Sorceress definitely lacked it though!

Yeah River and Eternal Rains are both superb. PC did have its moments agreed.

I get slight Mike Patton vibes from the beginning of Lovelorn Crime.

Oh good question. I think the Swedish would be my first pick but the two are pretty much identical in my eyes.

How beautiful is the solo in Lovelorn Crime? Might be one of the best moments in their discography (out of countless lol)

I think the production lacks a bit of bite or crunch so this is often falling into the background for me, but getting more familiar with the passages helps me stop and enjoy it.

The best thing I can say about this album is that at least they’re having fun. Unfortunately it’s kind of a cheesy mess

Definitely better than Sorceress, but my opinion is not made up with one listen. Gonna try the English version now.

4:00 or so minutes into De Närmast Sörjande / Next Of Kin could have come straight from Ghost Reveries! Who would have thought they would end up sounding so like themselves again!?

The album is growing on me, I think I might prefer the Swedish version but that could be because it hides some of the clunky lyrics.

Same, Swedish >
There's some weird hiccups in the English one, where he spits out too many syllables for the flow of the rhythm.
