I think Swing doesn't fit the vibe of the album at all, but its still not a bad song per say. I wish all the tracks where in the vein of Nutshell but its still a really poignant album

Eh I just think No Excuses is so good, with many little touches that makes it a gem. Plus the optimistic tone despite the dark subject matter is very nice.

I might join in Full ;)
As a closer Swing is pretty poor, not a fan.

Swing On This is a goof, but a really good one. A nice bit of levity after all the soul crushing haunting beauty of the rest of the album.

Don't Follow would have a perfect closer

Goof on an album which you're essentially on death's door for the majority of it? No thanks. Don't Follow would have been such a better closer agreed.

"You guys seriously don't understand Swing on This, do you?"
Enlighten us then.
"Could be way worse, Sap opens with Brother and ends with a cheesy "spoof" of love songs."
Note to self: Never listen to Sap.

Essentially on Death's Door for the majority of it? What? I Stay Awake's epicness would have been a nice closer too, being that it's the heaviest and most hopeful song on here. But every song, even Swing on This is pretty damn beautiful, even if it doesn't fit the tone of the album that you wanted.

No Excuses's opening reminds me of Angry Chair.
