^ Chris has great range, but I don't think he'd written anything that hits the emotional highs that Spencer hits.

"Wait, are you being serious? I think you’re being serious. Every Periphery fan I know irl is a stoner dumbass."

Trolling works best, if people can't tell whether you're serious or not lol.

I think Chris had some weird issues when he was with them. I don't want to say something and be wrong, but it was a bigger deal than just creative differences.

There's no bad blood now, I think they even played a show with him singing "Icarus Lives" but at the time it was pretty bad.

Them sweet pop punk vibes on Its Only Smiles, what a banger.

I don't get how having another vocalist would at all redeem this.

Yeah, but just imagine if Periphery became a mathcore band with Jonny Craig as their vocalist.

Spencer’s finest performance here, never been the biggest fan but he gives it his all here.

I think Spencer's screams have gotten better over time especially on this album, I always kinda seen Spencer's screams to be worse than his cleans but he really stepped up his game on his album, more wide range with the screams on basically every screamed section, obviously more pop-tinged than Chris Barretto but good screams nonetheless

"idk if you guys realize this but progressive music hasn't meant anything more than doing extended instrumental solos and writing long songs for like twenty years."

This is easily one of the dumbest things written on this thread so far.

Spencer is probably damaging his voice in the long term -> worse cleans

But maybe because of that he goes totally wild with his screams. If it's already broken, why care then? lol

Just some thoughts

What if Spencer did cleans and Chris did screams, that would be sick

If you’d have told me Spencer could hit those shrieks during the outro of Blood Eagle before this album I’d have laughed in your face.

When I saw them back in 2012 (long time ago admittedly) he sounded great.
