If you say AILD is better than Underoath, than you are basically raising your hand to volunteer for the "I Like Shit Music" brigade

Yes, because difference in musical opinion makes me unintelligent. Cya douchebag :D
|

Yeah, good comeback. Anything else you want to use besides the objectivity argument? Or you wanna just keep leaning on that rather than truly explaining your ignorant and idiotic rationalizations?

I'd say it would be more accurately called extreme metal. I mean it definitely does have some metalcore tendencies, but overall it is more influenced by death, black and possibly some grind.
I agree. Dallas is a beast.
Augh this is such a boring album
It's gonna suck having to sit through their act tomorrow night to see BTBAM and AILD
Ugh, this is such a boring user. It's gonna suck having to sit through his comments waiting to see Spirit's and Pit's comments.

He's not a boring user, just a really stupid one who continues to make asinine comments about shit he hasn't a clue. He makes generalized statements, doesn't back them up, and when someone else challenges him, he says he doesn't want to get into it and backs off like a dumb bitch

I like both bands for different reasons. Obviously they both represent different variations of metalcore As I Lay Dying being a more thrash/melodeath take on the genre while Underoath seems to be a lot closer related to late 90's metalcore. Comparing them seems kind of useless.

I think it's funny that the kid likes old Emarosa and bashes Underoath.
Emarosa basically started off as an Underoath cover band hahaha.
Oh and Underoath's live show is A LOT better than AILD's...

It irks me sooooo much when people are comparing metalcore and are going on and on about how Converge and Botch are so much better that All that Remains or August Burns Red, when you really can't even compare the styles.

never been a big fan of ABR, ATR on the other hand, well that's a whole nother story....
|

all that remains and august burns red have pretty much zero hardcore influence anyway, they can't really be called metalcore

Modern metal would be a more appropriate term i think

I just LOVE Matt Greiner's drumming.

^ He is an amazing drummer, but still not as good as Botch or Converge.
I also think Ben Koller is better drummer as well.
|
| |
As a drummer myself, Greiner is a good drummer, however, he needs to leave that China symbol alone for at least one whole album. He has used it entirely too much so far.
