That would be my favorite as well actually. That and HCE. are my two favorite solo SW albums.

I feel a string sensation to spin this again. A good sign for a good record

Insurgentes isn’t my favorite record of his but Veneno and Harmony Korine might be my two favorite tracks Steven wrote. The highs of Insurgentes are unreal; he smashed into solo success like an evening train

This album is his weakest solo release imo, I still enjoy it though. His first 4 albums are still the best of his solo releases, especially Raven and HCE.

Also Insurgentes has grown on me more and more recently. It's a fantastic album, does take a handful of listens to get into though and Significant Other is one of his Top 5 songs.

Insurgents is alright, there are some songs on it that don't really go anywhere. That's definitely a problem of his with a few songs of his earlier material. But by Raven he really nailed it down.

I think his first four albums are like perfect

I think he should explore that instrumental direction that some of the songs have. Also I like Stephen Wilton a lot, I think if we met, we'd have a lot in common as both of us are cinema snobs, love 80's pop and lament for the good old days and also dreaming about smashing ipods every night (as well as making love to Mikael Akerfeldt).

I've met him before. He's surprisingly down to earth.

Yeah he seems nice all jokes aside but it is funny that sometimes he looks quite posh or like intense. I share this and we've both been misinterpreted in that way. I know he doesn't drink a lot but I wonder how he is when he gets completely hammered on booze. For some reason I imagine him being a ''I love you buddy'' kind of drunk. And messaging his exes.

Have any of you heard the Porcupine Tree songs ''Russia on Ice'' and ''Feel So Low'' that end off the album Lightbulb Sun? Well there you go. Drunk Stephen.

Show was great of course. Interesting setlist, nice to hear a good amount of Porcupine Tree material like Don't Hate Me and The Sound of Muzak.

Agreed. His band is excellent all around - the guitarist especially kept blowing me away all night.

My group of friends was in for a treat when we arrived, as the guy who got us the tickets had a Foundation Room membership, so they slapped VIP passes on our shirts and led us back to a posh lounge with fireplaces and leather couches. They had also cordoned off a space on the second floor just above stage left, so we had prime viewing as we perched just above the guitarist. It made a for a great evening!
