This is a notch above Brand New's latest album, way more cohesion, excellent transitions (The Alien -> The Sunshine -> The Grocery), plus The Gold may be the song of the year.
I could see people being put off by the lack of track diversity and similar hooks, but that's what makes the album for me. This reminds me, in a way, to The Antlers - Hospice.
Can't wait to see some of these tracks live.
