Yes.

But you’re even more of one for coming here and bragging about it.
|
| |
Because it’s extremely unnecessary to come into this album talking about how unevocative it is. Just leave it be if you’re not feeling it. This isn’t one of those albums or threads where you need to prove something by saying his emotion comes across as redundant to you.
Just makes you seem like a dick, looking for attention.

I can understand why people wouldnt like this, but idk how you could listen to this and not feel kicked in the balls by some of those lyrics.
And calm down snox, youre overreacting.

You can share your opinion on music all you like but saying you feel nothing when listening to this is worthless. It’s not helping anyone, it’s not starting a discussion, it’s more or less just there to give you attention.
If you’re at a funeral and someone stands up to give a eulogy and everyone around you is crying, do you then get up after that person and say “well, is it wrong of me to say I just felt nothing from ol Johnno’s eulogy? I think he was more genuine when he wrote that facebook post about his dog dying.”
Then you go back to mingle and say “hey man just discussing my opinion. Btw RIP Genevieve”

Please let snox's rant become a meme.

was a mistake for snox to probe a banal comment from a shell of a user. literally any reaction beyond “ -_- “ is def an over-reaction
|
| |
tbh the notion that this album should be eternally protected from any sort of criticism pretty offputting
i also find this album to be one of his most underwhelming from an instrumental perspective. that doesn't diminish the fact that for him it is a super personal and therapeutic album and that it is clearly quite tragic.
|
| |
benefit of the doubt all around, this is one of snox's favorite artists of all time so he's particularly emotionally invested so his over-reaction was understandable.
|
| |
I agree, but his initial comment wasn't in relation to the music, and was more just a way of him saying "this album made me feel nothing everyone look at me" which was completely unnecessary. If you don't like the music just say so, but to bother putting it out there that this album had no emotional resonance is like ??? so? What do you mean an album about a girlfriend cheating on him seemed more emotional than an album detailing the mourning of his wife?
It's just kind've a slap in the face to Phil's grieving process to even bring that up
|
| |
It's okay I forgive you
|
| |
i really didnt find that initial comment that offensive and i doubt phil will ever read it nor would he care
|
| |
question for anyone who loves this and has repeatedly listened to it many times
for your experience do you find the instrumentals to often take a back seat to the lyrical content and themes?
|
| |
I also just like starting arguments with Mayhem
