Don't trust Rubin, not only he's bad mixing album but also he says things that are not even true. and sometimes he even ruins a band's career, (such as the chili peppers' by the way)

So Mystletainn whatever they do they do it for the cash grab? If they make a thrash metal it is to please the fans, make some $$$, if they make an album that reflects all they've done (this one), then it is for $$$.
They're not quitting and frankly, I think that's one of the albums where they did what they wanted and didn't do it to please the fans.

Annoying drums, annoying guitars, beyond annoying choruses, bass tries to do something but eh
Some good tracks admittedly but that's how I mostly feel. Only heard once in full (plus some individual skimming) and I have no desire to sit through it again. Maybe little by little I guess

holy shit, haven't seen them performing this good since like the 90s. James just stole the show, the man is such a beast. Kirk's solos were on point, the bass rocked hard thanks to the wonderful mix, only Lars was meh as usual, but at least he didn't make any major mistakes

Originally had this as being no better than a 3.0 but it's at a pretty strong 3.5 now. A grower for sure.
