Well, they were the OGs, and nu metal as a genre really only got worse with time with maybe the exception of like 2 bands that improved upon the formula (one of those bands probably being Korn themselves), so yeah. I don't think it's a reach to call them the best of the genre.

This album is more well-made than Life Is Peachy is, that record is kind of a mess. It's a cool mess, but it's the weakest link of the first four. Wish they took a little more time on it and tried not to do as much acid in the recording process. Anything 90's Korn I like anyway so it's all good.

I might enjoy it more than this album, but I can't agree with that. Issues, Self-Titled, Follow, and Untouchables are better records in my mind. Life Is Peachy was a worse version of what they already did. Ive always felt it was the most uninspired and rushed out of the bunch. Korn happened to be a better band back then so it didn't matter too much, I dug it regardless. Ive noticed people only held Life Is Peachy highly when they were more into the heavier material. It could be coincidental, but I knew quite a few folks that only really cared for the first two records.
