Parts Unknown is excellent but it's basically ETID doing their best Converge impression. I prefer this album. Petal might be their strongest track, period.

Also: GUARDING AN EMPTY HOUSE

Fucking chills.

Petal still blows me away, might be Keith's best performance lyrically and vocally

Also, to chime in with where to start, it's obviously Hot Damn!. If you don't like Hot Damn! or the next two albums, don't worry, the next four will be even better.

Having seen them live for my very first time a few weeks ago, they are so much heavier live. So. Much. Heavier.

Yeah I'd believe that. Production takes out a lot of energy in music like this. Converge translates it well to their studio records but these guys always sound a little too clean on their studio albums

I gotta agree there. They've never truly had a well produced album for their specific sound and after seeing them live, it has only reinforced that feeling.

Keith’s growl live has never really translated to a record. The guy is manic onstage

They need to release a live album/DVD tbh.

Also, for all their comedy band is brutal live m/
