Yeah fam Neighborhoods is Adult Blink at its best and probably the best a follow-up could have ever been to the self-titled.
I've seen some people hating on their Dogs Eating Dogs EP but tbh I think it's great. A nice little epilogue to Neighborhoods.

Pretty Little Girl is one of the best Blink songs.

hell yea it is. don't think there's a bad song on that EP, but boxing day is probably the weakest

Seriously though, Delonge may build his spaceships and be paranoid about aliens watching him, but he's so much better than Hoppus in every way.

i'd mostly agree but +44>every blink album that isnt s/t

Well... let's agree to disagree there.

Honestly it’s S/t=+44=Box Car Racer> neighborhood > ava > rest of blink
|
| |
Album Rating: 2.0
agreed with you up to ava because tyop enema and dude ranch are def better than every ava album
they're all better than this tho

I like every AVA album, tbh.

I like all the ones ive heard (so all besides love pts 1 and 2) but i empire and whisper are both light 3s whereas dream walker is a light 3.5 as of now (it'll probably grow tho)
what i mean to say is, most blink albums plus bcr and +44 are better

did you guys see the tom delonge interview on joe rogan’s podcast? i’m legitimately concerned about that guy’s mental health

Jammed this again today and it is still just...not good.
Shiny production cannot fix below average songs.

Album Rating: 2.0
the production is horrendous on here. it just kills any potential life that some of these songs have, and this sure as fuck didnt need to be 16 tracks long
what i would give to hear the album they wrote pre working with feldman that he forced them to trash its probably so much better than this

Album Rating: 2.5
Oh snap I didn't know they had to trash a previous album. I do know that DeLonge's "To The Stars" EP contained song ideas that were going to be used for the next blink album though.
To be fair the 2nd disc on the Deluxe version of this is slightly more interesting with songs like 6/8 and Bottom of the Ocean

apparently the trashed album sounded “too alkaline trio” . feldman also like made them write a lot of lyrics on the spot which...explains the lyrics for sure
6/8 and last train home totally should’ve been on here. deluxe has higher highs but lower lows. good old days and dont mean anything are both fucking horrible imo

Album Rating: 2.5
Good Old Days and Don't Mean Anything are trash garbage tracks, agreed.
Mark has mentioned he wants to write more stuff like the self-titled for the next album, so here's hoping.

yea cos the deluxe is showing at least that matt is being given a bigger role on a lot of songs, and what a surprise those ended up being the better songs off that disc. as long as they dont make feldman write their album for them hopefully well be in good shape but that doesnt seem likelf cos they’re really close with him now, especially travis
