because Bart wants full control (and probably more money). they're just going to get another guitarist. im sure they think they can write, but we'll see. or maybe we wont, i probably wont even jam it.

Considering the last time Queensryche revamped themselves in 2012 it was literally one of their best albums, I'd say Batushka has a high chance of success in that department.

how do you calculate a high chance of success though, it all depends on completely different songwriters who haven't shown whether they have the skills or not. we have no idea.

@Adolf I was just saying if Zaru feels it would be Queensryche all over again, assuming he means the 2012 split, then that bodes well for Batushka.

Every 16 yo who's been playing guitar for at least 6 months can sort of write riffs. What made Batushka so big is a combination of things: the whole orthodox/slavic church aesthetic, the blast beats interspersed with gregorian chants... Their artistic direction was very specific and well thought, will the other members have a simliarly complex and well-thought idea? Might be, who knows, but I highly doubt it.
Gonna listen to it just to hear what they came up with, if it'll ever come out, but don't get your hopes too high.

Does Kris have the band name copyrighted? If so, Barts gonna have to call it something like Basmushka

"it would be Queensryche all over again, assuming he means the 2012 split, then that bodes well for Batushka."
the logic there is kind of weird but OK. Kris probably wrote some of a new album already so there's little reason to expect less of him. There're no expectations for fake-tushka, though, since we don't know anything about them.

Bart copyrighted the name behind his back, since Bart owns the label and effectively was managing the band.

it's just gonna get draaaagged out through court and eventually go to Kris anyway so idk what the point is.

please don't say 'you know what's going to happen with this case'... If this year should have taught you anything it's that fucking ANYTHING can happen. This very much can go either way.

I sure hope it can't go Bart's way. that would set a horrific precedent.

Yeah fuck that guy. Was thinking about starting a petition to get people to send to show organizers to drop the fake band.
