drums tracked. whole album has been re-recorded, hence it taking so long, but it's been worth it. onto mixing and mastering now - aim is to get it done by the end of may for sept. release but we'll see. takes as long as it takes, never worked on anything this ambitious before.

some personal notes about the album: it's been a strange album to record - usually with solo projects the 'mastermind' (hate that word) has full creative control of the project and direction but i allowed every single person involved complete freedom. many deviated away from my subconscious expectations and that was a great way to get over my creative control complex. i gave as little direction as possible to everyone involved so that they could really bring their own flair and artistry to the record in the same way that if a band were in a practice room a band member would give input and ideas.

it was a real personal journey to let my borders down - i've never let anyone into my music before or the creative process. it was honestly terrifying, but i risked making the same record again if i really didn't challenge myself and let myself go. the difference between this record and the new one is immense in a way i can't describe - 'trisagion' sounds like a band where everyone had creative input and is fluidly interplaying. i chose people specifically who i knew would understand what i was composing and man, everyone nailed it.

i've gone from someone who did absolutely everything myself out of insecurity and fear to someone who allowed myself to release creative control to so many other talented musicians and artists. if nothing else, 'trisagion' will be proof of how far i've come as a person and as terrified as i am to share it with you all as it is a hugely personal and vulnerable work, i couldn't be prouder of it. thank you for still being interested in my music after all this time, guys. i'm a very flawed, strange dude who's all over the place but these songs are how i relate to the world and the fact anyone gets anything out of it is immensely humbling.

all tracking completed. there were some extra things that needed to be done, album's been all but re-recorded and it's now done. me and the audio engineer will now be working on the mix & master over the next weeks, no estimate as to how long it'll take cus i've never worked with an audio engineer before haha. this dude has some incredible records under his belt and i know he'll do it justice regardless of how long it takes. the album is massive - including bonus material it's 74 minutes - so it's no small task. the dude's just finished a bunch of other big projects for other big names in the scene so now we can get onto this monster of a record.

confirming a few things: release will be the back end of this year. due to vinyl pressing plant backlogs we'll release those later and do digital/cd/tape first. new material will stream around the start of september i estimate.
