i'm going to say it....i like his solo albums better than PT albums, as whole pieces....PT has the higher highs though

His solo albums feel easier to return to, in my opinion.

Aside from the title track and perfect life, I like everything here.

Can't. Stand. Perfect Life.

except for that one, very good album. I prefer the Raven though, that one's so entertaining from start to finish.

Perfect Life is a perfect blend of electronic and pop music. But the t/t is of course the weakest in the mix.

The t/t is probably better than Perfect Life, really like them both though.

They're pretty much equal to me. I think the t/t kind of fades after about half away in whereas Perfect Life only gets better half way in

I just skimmed through both and I forgot how much Perfect Life changes as it goes along, so I probably like them both the same as well.

I remember First Regret and 3 Years Older growing on me more and more each time I jammed this, now I'm convinced 3 Years is among his best epics.

That's still Drive Home, Shesmovedon or Arriving Somewhere for me but it's definitely up there

3 Years Older has a nice feeling of nostalgia going on, but I prefer Routine and Ancestral. When it comes to epics from other Wilson albums, I also prefer The Watchmaker.

edit: yeah, Drive Home is definitely among my favorite Wilson solo songs as well. probably my favorite one of normal length.

Solo song, man. I think there are many PT songs that are better but as far as his own stuff goes, I think it's his best. I don't know what it is about the final third, but it feels like one beautiful, nostalgic montage

My cousin never listened to rock music, and prefers art music in his mother tongue, but when he put on SW after my advice, he totally adored Drive Home.
