def a stretch to call something like" takashi" run of the mill neo soul but as per my last comment I do see flying lotus moving in a more songlike, "here are the chords and melody" type direction so I can sort of see where the sentiment comes from

And tbf those last 2 do sound like just about any decent neo soul band, just with flylo percussion. Rabid is far from the first to notice
