Cold, raw, dark, morbid, without hope, real and absolutely terrifying.

A lot like birds >

btw whats the name of this album? is it closer or closer?

like, closer as "that tree is closer to me than the bush is"

or like the closer of something, like an album closer or somethin?

i just wanna know so i dont sound like a bigger idiot than i already am, when talking about joy division to whoever will listen to me talk about joy divison (which is not many people anyways)

It's ok onionbubs, the meaning of the title was never disclosed by the band members themselves so interpret it however you'd like ;). Personally, I prefer their live performances over their studio stuff simply because the raw energy and unhinged emotion of their live performances is (almost) completely lost on the the two albums. That isn't to say they're not good, but they provide a much different listening experience of the band than I prefer

k ill have to decide what to call it then. since ive always been unsure the 1 and a half years ive been a fan ive always just called it stuff like "that second album", "the better one", "the follow up", and "their magnum opus) and stuff like that lol
