This album aged badly, but, it has had enormous influence upon vaporwave, so cheers to that.
The imgur comment on the bottom of the first page is dreadfully obnoxious with its complete lack of comprehension of the musical concepts//theory of this album and the vaporwave genre as a whole, though.

No. His point is technically valid, but the point I'm making is:
a)Macintosh Plus actually did it, contrary to others
b)It may be only slowing down, but it drastically changes the song regardless, and feeds into/influenced a couple core theory/artistic elements of vaporwave, such as timbral experimentation, plunderphonics, hypnagogia(a physical and mental state which spawned another genre called hypnagogic pop, but which is utilized in vaporwave as well), among other things.
c)Even if the album has aged badly in numerous aspects(however this shows how innovative it was, as nauseating as you think me saying that is), and that the broad spectrum of vaporwave has expanded upon, experimented farther with the ideas on here, and executed them better, it remains an influential piece of art in vaporwave's history(in terms of a e s t h e t i c s as well). And yes, all of this despite the fact that other, bolder, equally influential proto-vaporwave/debut vaporwave albums had also been released prior.
This video explains it better than I do, so do go and watch it:

Also, Pad Chennigton, MisterAmazing and PINKAS have done videos about the beginnings of Vaporwave and about just the genre itself.

Does this guy only speak in essays or something, cause every comment he's written takes up the entirety of my screen.

Yes. They call me the definition of autism(some people). In fact, I keep editing these "essays", all the time, whenever I can.

Have you checked other vaporwave releases before though(like the ones in the links I posted)? If so, this record will disappoint you(or disappoint you more, depends). If not, do check these other vaporwave releases(such as the ones in the links above) after this album, if you didn't check it out.

My favourite vaporwave artist is DJ Screw.

lmao, but actually this guy is pretty legendary, since he essentially created the chop and screw technique. He indirectly influenced vaporwave basically, so gotta give him props for that.

In general it is time consuming to find just the right kind of vaporwave artists/albums that you like, it has taken me about a year to find the good stuff.

I mean in retrospec this album is fucking horrible, albeit influential
Vaforite pavorwave artist of mine is t e l e p a t h, such a legend. He's more ambient and hypnagogic pop, but still, his HKE and Nmesh collaborations are otherwordly.
