Meh, Queens ain't the Led Zep of today. They're just Queens of the Stone Age. They're unique. They're life.
Anyway... Lloyd, I don't know of a review thread that consists SOLELY of people bashing on EV, but then again I said "SOME people". I'm not even saying EV detractors are in the majority. I've just noticed there are some, and it seems to me that the hate they have is kinda exceptional. I'll admit though, almost everyone I know personally hate it, so I'm probably thinking mostly about them.

@Rowan
he's my least favorite in Led Zep too, man.
@DatPinecone
making that comparison is pretty much the biggest compliment you can give a band so I don't know why your panties are in a bunch. I never said their music was similar; i just mean they are the best mainstream band who isn't afraid to branch out lots of different musical genres or moods while still being "rock n roll" just like Led Zep did.

I didn't accuse you of saying that QotSA and LZ were similar, but I guess I was a bit unclear. I wasn't really serious when I wrote that. My panties are perfectly tidy.

I thought it was interesting when I read that Homme felt very uncomfortable and not confident in his vocals on the S/T because they aren't as amazing as they are here but they are still pretty sweet

I can relate as a guitar player that got accidentally pigeonholed into a guitarist/vocalist.
Then again I'm not motherfucking Josh Homme.

He certainly made shitloads of progress by Rated R but yeah the vocals there were still good
To be fair though, he'd never done any vocals before that (as far as I'm aware anyway)

I understand not feeling comfortable to an extent but he still had a killer voice to begin with
