Abyssopelagic I is actually better without vocs, fight me.
And I say that as a huge vocal guy and a person who was stupidly excited when they got to hold Loic by a part of his leg on some concert after he dived into the crowd

I used to have the instrumentals in my Ocean playlist. "Abyssopelagic II" without vocals made me feel strangely depressed.

I'm becoming more and more convinced this is their best too. The pacing and the compositions are absolutely stellar, and I think it's also a perfect combo of their hardcore roots, prog metal tendencies, and post metal.

I'd also say this is where Loic really comes into his own. Band as a whole, honestly. They establish their new identity.

definitely, the two -centric records came with some growing pains, although I'm a pretty big defender of both, especially anthroprocentric.

I've always been low on the -centric series but I also have spent the least amount of time with them, admittedly .
