MA rule, let's be honest. Come take that 2.5 with me to the Dissection thread.

Abominations rules and all but was nowhere near as influential as anything Death did. It was shared around via tapes back in the 80s but that was nowhere near the worldwide influence Death had far earlier.

That said who even cares about "influence".

I don't know, Scream Bloody Gore really didn't do that much that hadn't been done before.

I’m by no means an expert on this but that’s not fair, Death’s demo tapes are more relevant to that discussion than SBG, some of which were a couple of years earlier.

??? Influence is the only reason we've ever had anything resembling extreme metal. if it weren't for heavier bands and their INFLUENCE on a younger era, metal and all forms of music would die.

I'm not sure if you mean just in the context of that discussion (MA vs. Death) but even so, it could be taken as pretty important considering the divide in their sound drastically effected how the future generations who were more influenced by one rather than the other, would sound.

Liking that 5, Spirit :-)

This is top 5 DM for me - either Symbolic or None so Vile is taking that #1 spot though.

First 3 Deicide albums kick ass yeah. Best mathematics-plus-sign-on-forehead-core I've ever heard.
