the great thing about Somewhere is that isn't just Jordan

on this album the focus is on the stories and the instruments kind of take a backseat

Yeah it's melodramatic, but it's also really fun to listen to

This isn't nearly as enjoyable

"thats why its better"

I agree.

This one is still pretty melodramatic, but in small doses it's great.

I find this way more melodramatic/whiny and the lyrics aren't as good overall

I mean, there was whining on Somewhere, but I guess it was in a format I could tolerate and eventually love.

its completely relevant have you been scorned by a she because thats usually why one would cry at night and love somewhere at the bottom of the river between vega and altair, hey i remember the entire name

that's like a really personal question and I'm not comfortable answering that and now my eyes are watering and- I LIE AWAKE AT NIGHT AND WAIT to feel the wires in my brain get cut and quietly rearranged

I had that same dialogue as the one on the last page with myself for awhile, before I realized that Wildlife and Somewhere At The Bottom Between Vega And Altair are equally as superb, but for incredibly different reasons. I love listening to both of them. I do think Jordan's vocals--and restraint thereof, epspecially at key moments--have matured and improved on this record, but I his vocals on Somwehere... are perfect for that record. As hard as I've tried, I can't honestly tell myself that one is better than the other. Apples and oranges, in my opinion. Both are fucking delicious.

i need to get into this because i have a sneaking suspicion that it's a lot less gay than their other work.

maybe but i don't have that much fun with them anymore anyway. i remember thinking this had a really uniformly depressing sound though.

SatB was fun because it was upbeat, had cool ass melody leads, and you could jump around and sing and scream along with Jordan

you can't really do that with this
