some of the second half is more admirable for its weirdness than it is enjoyable for its songs. Her eclecticity was more compelling on The Dreaming because it was put front and center and the entire album was kinda built around it, on this one you can tell she's trying to blend that with catchy hooks and banging synths and they sometimes detract from each other. Maybe doesn't help that the first two and last two tracks are the best here

Idk what you're talking about, And Dream of Sheep through Jig of Life is very enjoyable for its songs. The second half is weird yeah, but it's giving second half of Abbey Road, nothing wrong with it. In fact, I love it.

on the one hand I feel like I spent a post or two about how there's something cool about how the verses of "running up that hill" feel cyclical and the chorus more "linear"

on the other hand man. that song's overrated. few thrills no spills. not even a top 10 single of the year
