I disagree with that bit about the White Album avon Within You Without You is like one of my favourite Beatles jams ever. Lennon was a dick sometimes for sure.
@Pleb Dude I LOVE Paul, he's such a nice dude and he's the best singer of the three by a long shot imo

Paul came out with some shit which really brought him down, but his best was pretty fucking good. The
medley on here is IMO the thing they have ever done, and in addition to writing most of it, he was the
one who put it all together. Then you've got Let It Be, Penny Lane, Eleanor Rigby, For No One,
Yesterday, Helter Skelter, Hey Jude...
Lets just agree that they all fucking ruled.

You Won't See Me is such a jam.

Remember that I haven't gone pre-Revolver yet but speaking from what I've heard I at least like every song Paul wrote for the Beatles, he's such a consistent songwriter. Lennon, on the other hand, was inconsistent as fuck; he wrote the best Beatles tunes and the absolute worst ones hand in hand.
Lets just agree that they all fucking ruled. [2]

See, I'm the absolute opposite. For me, Paul had some pretty rubbish tunes(as John called it, Paul's granny music). John at his best is just untouchable IMO.

John - Strawberry Fields
Paul - Blackbird
George - Something
3 of the greatest songs of all time. The Beatles were/are the bollocks.

But IMO, A Day In The Life >
That bridge where John is all "Aaaa a aaa aa" with them horns as back up is fucking perfection.

Have to disagree avon but opinions, y'know. I fucking hate Good Morning and Yer Blues and a couple of Lennon's other ones are pretty weak (Sexy Sadie springs to mind) whereas I love Paul's stuff on the whole. Let it Be and Within You/Guitar Gently Weeps/Here Comes the Sun are easily up there with Lennon's best imo.

I always thought that Paul's verse in Day in the Life was pretty weak tbh that's one of the few things Paul has penned I don't love
Lennon's parts are 10/10 ofc
