I switch back and forth between the three all the time, but I've been favoring this a lot more lately.

Panopticon is a gym album with its massive climaxes (End of so did we, in fiction, grinning mouths etc), whereas this is more of a chillout/study/work album even though it has some monumentally heavy as fuck moments like the end Carry or From Sinking (prob heaviest thing they've done).
I'm slowly getting into Absence of Truth too but it seems a little less powerful and less coherent than their previous two.
|
| |
I'm starting to appreciate Panopticon a bit more myself but this will always be #1 for me.

Yeah I take that back about From Sinking being the heaviest, their Red Sea EP is unbelievably heavy holy shit

Oceanic and Panopticon are the only two I spin nowadays. I enjoyed Absence of Truth when it came out, but not so much anymore. Never really got into Wavering Radiant.

Gotta spin some Mosquito Control, the riffs are too good.

Honestly I've never really immersed myself in too much of anything pre-Oceanic. I've heard some songs here and there, but I'll give Mosquito Control a listen.
