s/t is far removed from being the same kind of gorillaz record that demon days or plastic beach are, much like Humanz is, but its also a far better record. Also there's barely any collabs on s/t lol.

I'll just stick to subjectivity and my personal enjoyment of Humanz as my perceptions of Gorillaz never limited me to think less of the band when they collaborated. Plastic Beach is over both S/T and DD for me.

'Prior to studio recording, Albarn made use of iPad applications such as GarageBand to create the framework for each song. Albarn had previously utilized his iPad as an audio workstation for The Fall, touting its convenience over the 4-Track recorder he'd previously used for preliminary music production.'

Well this explains some shit.

Now that I read I think you're right.

Is that inherently bad? Planning out the frameworks on shit like GarageBand when you have a really good idea on the run is perfectly valid.

My ex-gf after watching the doncamatic video. "What is this shit? I want the old gorillaz back!". One of the few times I applauded her.

It was more so that the last time Damon used an iPad to record music it turned into The Fall.

Ew, the 'I want old ____ back' argument is never good.

I think it's as awful as fuck. I want to give this album a negative 10, but that rating doesn't exist.

She was kind of a beginner with some bands so I accepted that judgement.

You don't have a single hip-hop record 5d and the closest thing you actually might have is RHCP cringy white-boy funk metal adlibbing so yeah, I can understand your perspective.

The guy who wrote the incubus review is my fucking hero, though. "0.5". Only the staff can make that kind of things.

And that's why I hate so much hip hop artists (with some exceptions like beastie boys and outkast) they can't make an album without having a collaboration in every track. What's the point of releasing your OWN album if your not going to sing your OWN songs. Instead you invite someone to sing the song for you.

It's a good approach to music imo and not inherently bad, idk why you're going off at it.
