Why is the Clash part of that purposefully inflammatory comment the one that got a response. Not even the pop punk part or the secret part.
I put a lot of work into perfectly sculpting that comment. No appreciation for the written word.
Okay, the point was: at least the Pistols stopped at one album instead of becoming shit. Maybe the Ramones would've been an easier target and would've saved me the trouble of writing this all out to explain myself.
And London Calling is a bore, I'm probably gonna lower it to a 2/2.5 sooner than later. 4.5 average for that is a disgrace to music.

Yeah, about that...

-This is popular punk : )
-I appreciated the "Rock will never die" part.
-Also dw you can still witness the downfall of P.I.L

@Casavir
Decent comedic timing, we could be the next abbott and costansa with gold like that
The pop punk part is for zakalwe when he gets up from his nap.
And "rock will never die" is my tried and true hipster ironic catchphrase irl.
I don't think I've mentioned it, but typing on a phone is torture and my thumbs hurt.

As if any of this is on-topic, this is a runaway train headed for a wile e coyote style wall.
And I love that episode/segment. My entire life is based on being just as smug as slappy squirrel

Clash is trash, why bring them up when talking about a real punk band
If clash had stopped after their debut album they may have had a good legacy but still not half as good as the pistols

Steve Jones has a riff economy on this record that is just the essence of punk. "Bodies" rules.
