the atmosphere is really not the point of the record, there is nothing about this i would ever compare to clouddead when there are so many more appropriate comparisons.

I wasn't comparing the two albums at all.. I was pointing out their place in relation to the rest of their respective genres. Notably how nothing else sounds quite like it within each genre instead being a more experimental interpretation.
Or maybe I've just been listening to too much Clouddead lately.

Well you'd be wrong in either case cause there are plenty of things that sound like either of those albums
whether they're as good as those albums or not is another thing
