Lmao Clay, i could try to rank this and odds are Easily would be bottom half or close.

This has 4 potential for me, despite some issues here. I need to spin again to be sure however.

I wish the production was better with the heavy parts, but other than that this is pretty much perfect aside from that and a slight quality dip in the middle.

If this didn't sound like it was recorded inside of Rick Rubin's world famous over produced tin can it'd be an easy 5 for me. Album is all sorts of magical and I can now agree that this holds up way more than BSSM. This album SOUNDS like California and it's basically what the Chili's always wanted to sound like.

Oh and Easily is easily the best track.

I don't see (hear?) the glaring production issues most of y'all are noticing... I mean, it's not amazing, but it never takes away from the tracks.

I dunno, maybe I'm being biased...

It's pretty noticeable, especially on the heavier parts. If it wasn't so loud and cut a few like Emit Remmus and I Like Dirt then it'd probably be their best.

I've heard the hit songs everywhere since it was released and the whole CD for probably 5 years now, but the loudness didn't become noticeable for me until the past year or two for whatever reason.

Love the record, great review. Gotta agree with Talons and JigglyPDiddy though about the compression, sometimes it gets overwhelming. Doesn't detract from the quality of the songs themselves though which are awesome.

John is on top form which is fair fucks considering his teeth were falling out due to skag addiction just weeks before rejoining.

"Another great thing for Red Hot Chili Pepper Fans is that the album DOES include sexual innuendos"

Oh thank god!

I was worried for a minute there!
