Walrus is unlistenably annoying lol, the lyrics are useless and Lennon sounds like a helium addict and its not very good melodically. its just a bad retread of Lucy

"but the respect for blue jay way and strawberry fields as the 2 best i can fuck with"

yuh these 2 are great. you can always count on George to deliver something good when Lennon and McCartney are fucking around. Blue Jay Way gets extra points for being straight up the creepiest goddamn song in their catalogue

also I admit I forgot about Baby You're a Rich Man, that's a solid tune. still hate the rest

Get (that opinion) the fuck outta here lol. Walrus is one of the Beatles best tracks, out of hundreds of classics.

Wow, it's been a long time I jammed MMT again, and I've totally forgotten about how "Baby You're A Rich Man Too" sounded and how fucking weird it is, but also so good

“You just called I am the Walrus atrocious, that's like the king of bad Beatles takes”

lol, you mean it’s not atrocious? That song and All You Need is Love are almost singledhandedly the reason I gave that album a 3 and not higher

If you think I am the Walrus is atrocious, you might as well say you aren’t a fan of songs

"Rowan I’m trying to be nicer, but these Beatles opinions are not making it easy lol"

understandable lol. I'm sure this will last until the next Weezer thread at best tho

since this is just a general thread now I'd like to point out Old Brown Shoe is shockingly underrated and one of their best b-sides

I wanna say he’s high, but it’s the Beatles we’re talking about, so the problem is more likely that he’s sober

also w row on that one actually absolutely nothing happens in lennons vocal melody the whole song and he sounds like ass on it. and last i listened to it was on acid so i dont think lack of drugs was the problem there
