I've listened to a few bands that could be considered avant-garde metal, but this doesn't really strike me as metal. Not that's its a bad thing.

Who's to say this was Razor's first dip into the avant-garde? Strange comment.
I wouldn't say this is 'not necessarily metal', it is (at least in part) post-metal, which despite being one of the 'least metal' metal sub-genres is still metal. Maudlin are more eclectic and use a lot of elements very alien to metal, but some of their tracks do delve further into metal than this, so I'd agree that they do come closer to metal, at times. Semantics ftw.
(I just wanted to see how many times I could get metal into the same comment).

I was going to say a "To be fair", but after 2 fucking years, no way. I know that Toby was doing this basically by himself. I don't know how many orders he got or how many total number of Choirs LPs there were, but taking 2 years to get yours is definitely ridiculous. I'd email him about it.
I got mine eventually, but it also took a long time. Not sure when it released, but I'm pretty sure I received it last summer IIRC. That's when I emailed him and he explained this was him preparing them all and shipping them out from his apartment.

We'd emailed and no reply a few times then other setback was due to his new album and then a tour. I'm just sitting going wtf you get a box and put a stamp on it.
