You said the only redeeming quality were the solos (or something like that). That would sound right if that was Cacophony you were talking about. Cynic are not that kind of band, so I don't believe you listened to this more than once.
By the way yes I liked Avenged Sevenfold when I was 13 and made this account.

the record I've listened to it quite a few times. This album isn't working. Hey, I can even put it
on right now and you can see my Last.fm for proof. I'll hate it just as much as I did the first 4 or
5 times.

@Hawks: Yep, a 1.5. I stated originally, in a calm and respectful manner, that it's not my kind of
music. I think all of you forgot that I didn't come in here calling them bad musicians or a bad
band. I simply said it's not my music.
So if there's any "kid" not "learning", it's all of you. Not everyone is going to like the same
music, lol. I'm not going to give it any higher because they're skilled musicians. If there was a
place to review them as a band, I would, but this is album reviewing. They're
talented no doubt, but the execution is a no no for me.

Yeah not really. It has some death vocals, but this is pretty much just progressive metal/jazz fusion. Focus is a lot more death metal.
