if you've never listened to opeth start with still life, blackwater park, damnation or this; they're their most accessible albums.

Slowly but surely this has drifted to boringville for me, it has a couple really strong songs but i never want to listen to this all the way through

Nah, no really strong tracks. Heir is good, but not that good.

Hessian Peel is where it's at, as well as Heir and Lotus, but i don't like defending opeth so cool beans for you fireman

I found room in my busy schedule today to give this another listen. Digitizing maps is the perfect way to relax and listen to OPETH!
Ulver has been owning me for the last two days though.

This album is great and all, but I could never listen to it for multiple days in a row. GR on the other hand.

Trailerpark do yourself a favor and don't associate with trolls because you can get banned from the site along with them if you get off subject.

I new this day would come when I would lower my rating for this album. Its not as perfect as I once thought and its because of the female vocals. They just irritate me and I feel they used them unecessarily. Maybe Roadrunner Records wanted the band to have some sort of a catch to compete with the amount of female fronted metal bands selling huge these days. All I can say is that I've listened to this enough and I just can't get past the female vocals, skipping the song each time I give this a spin (well at the least the last 10 times I've listened to it).
