It's exceptionally rare for production to ruin an album for me, but this is one of those few 1/100 scenarios. I hate the way every instrument sounds here, which is a shame because the songwriting is great

I guess I just hate that razor-thin sound; it's kinda the same problem I have with some of Scott Burns' productions. If I'm listening to thrash or death metal, I'd rather have a sound akin to Ride the Lightning or Pleasure to Kill, with a more... idk how to put it, "wide" or "expansive" sound?

I mean the production kinda sucks but idk it's so infectiously catchy and them riffs n vox...ive said this before but, very very rarely, if ever, will production ruin an album for me. I barely even hear production. I'm definitely not an audiophile

And as I said, it's rare for a production job to ruin things for me as well. In fact, I was just listening to Spreading the Disease by Anthrax recently... the production wasn't very good, but the riffs and vox were enough to keep me going \m/ so idk, maybe I should check this out again. It's been a long time since I've listened to it, so maybe my opinion's changed since then

wtf its only the guitar tone which you get used to and in the end, actually adds to the uniqueness of the album. everything else sounds fuckin great

Gotta admit it's thin and trebly, not your regular post-MoP beefy double tracked thrash guitar tone. But I can mostly get past production when the music is this good.
