Yeah, I can bump this to a 4.5 - it’s no ‘Yerself is Steam’ but it has a bit of whatnot to it

Nice one Doof, your having this at a “mere” 4 always seemed a bit off.

Problem with this album is it doesn’t have a great song

Everything sounds luvverly jubberly for sure

But it doesn’t have a great song. Not one. Seriously.

But I let it off. It’s all about the noise.

And yeah the t/t I mean that's honestly considered one of the best songs of the 90s, and it definitely is for me

They aren’t really songs...they feel like passages in the greater whole...every track sounds better off in the context of listening to the album as a whole.

There’s no mixtape champion here.

But it barely matters, this sounds a million dollars.

Oh okay yeah I can see that, though I think the title track stands great as it's own. It's a summary of the album, it contextualizes the rest of the songs. By itself, it works because it needs no introduction

Sounds like an intro/scene setter way too much for me to agree but cool

I did call it an overture in my review, so part of me agrees

As I mentioned a couple pages ago I played "I Think I'm in Love" on the radio last night and it worked out quite well in the playlist I used.

For what it's worth:

1. Grandaddy - "He's Simple, He's Dumb, He's the Pilot"

2. Pavement - "In the Mouth a Desert"

3. Slowdive - "Alison"

4. Ride - "Sennen"

5. Spiritualized - "I Think I'm in Love"

6. Car Seat Headrest - "Bodys" [2018 version]

7. The Republic of Wolves - "Colored Out"

8. Hop Along - "Not Abel"

9. My Bloody Valentine - "Sometimes"

10. Tiny Little Houses - "The Void"

11. Cracker - "Low"

admittedly I had to tool around with some of the transitions in Audacity to get them to flow well (Ride into Spiritualized being the best example)

I see where Doof is coming from but I Think I'm in Love is a fantastic standalone song
