That opening is awful, drumming is tighter than the original, vox are worse and too loud, that switch to the bridge at 0:53 really sounds like that cut and pasted two parts together, guitar tones are only for the weak, the lead used at 2:20 used to pop, now it sounds sterile. Oh no.. just got to the "nu" part they included, this is unnecessary and at times very awful.

Come Clarity fucking wrecks and is best In Flames after Colony

Chorus slaps. Everything else about the rerecording is about as bad as you'd expect from post 2010 In Flames.

The drumming sounds like the shit you'd hear from those old Periphery and Bulb demos

The re-recorded track is not great overall. The chorus is definitely way worse and the production sounds all over the place. What the fuck is wrong with the guitars around 2:20? They literally sound like they were played on a slightly out of tune guitar.

Anders does an OK job on the vocals but I've always hated that whiny exhale thing he does at the end of his screams, something that started around the Come Clarity era.

Indeed, original recording is good.

I've been listening to Subterranean through RtR so much lately, shame the rerecording sucks. Maybe the remasters will be good but this album is already mastered fine, so /shrug
