Lol you ve just exposed this from an underground gem to a normal tech thrash record ahah
Only for the looks of it it comes out to me as some jerk off of voivod or sodom.. and mind, this is far from it...
That wihout listening ...I should do it asap to see if it fits lol

Nothing wrong with that if you are a big thrash fan. But yeah, I'd say a masterpiece usually involves taking the genre someplace else.
I don't know why it is, but tech death seems to be bustling with creativity this decade but thrash metal.. not so much. I don't think its because metal or the audiences tastes are getting progressively extreme. Thrash is still hip.

Like I think this does...
I m not a big thrash fan...or any genre that follows specific rules of songwriting...like thrash...or thrash fans want it to be...this is awesome cause its not formulaic imo

I don’t 5/5 masterpieces Ghandi, it’s just ‘stuff I like the most’. Sorry, but I really am that dumb & music history is basically irrelevant to me. I like it better this way mind, I can’t realistically keep up with the history of music... well maybe I could but it’d involve getting divorced.

Most relevant thrash since the early 90s, in my opinion

I don’t think any criticism for this has to do with it not being formulaic enough. I just don’t really see what new ground they’re traversing, I mean it’s technical and tightly executed but what is it doing that hasn’t been done before
|
| |
I'd say there are some moments, but for the most part their debut is more notable Space Jester

@source That Aftermath album is sick. Def not an average tech thrash album that jerks off Voivod and Sodom

LmFAo...even that way would be impossible...this album is just incredible guys...it doesn t matter what year it is if it doesn t feel old. That Aftermath album is on the digs and I hope to God it doesnt feel old.

You can listen to old music that feels now...like october rust f.e.
You can listen to new music that feels old...like the latest Judas priest...f.e.
I always want new music no matter what...this felt to me like something new...some ppl just don t want to see it...because some oldies did it in the past
