overrated beyond belief.
Heavily dragged out Tech Thrash. Still not terrible by any means just hell of a boring album.

2prog4u
Forgot that all thrash has to be around 45 mins or less, the album isn’t exactly repetitive & fits within the concept so not sure where ‘dragged out’ comes from. In fact I love there appears to be some backlash from traditional thrash heads here, it’s reassuring.

Weird, given so many like Mekong Delta and Psychotic Waltz.
Edit Mekong Delta don't have that much more

That Droid album I rec’d is about an hour ; )

Imo album of the decade was the latest Tribe Called Quest album, at least off the top of my head

And yea it doesn’t have anything to do with it being “2prog4u”, the long format just doesn’t lend itself well enough to Vektor’s music imo. There are a lot of classic thrash albums that I would say are more progressive than Vektor have proven overall

I would like to hear some longer, more prog-leaning thrash albums as I’m not exactly a connoisseur... however given that I have 1150 ratings & barely 25 5s my opinion of this is unlikely to change much. It’s album of the decade for me, which isn’t an indictment of thrash in general as that includes all music. Having said that I’ve heard albums by Voivod, Coronor, Megadeth & Sepultura & prefer this (easily) to all of them.
That 2prog4u thing was a joke by the way.

For a band that has longer songs they barely do that much with them that other bands dont already accomplish in less time.

I can’t think of an album (any genre) with more ‘content’ than this that doesn’t sound overblown, clumsy or contrived. This is a joyous & perfectly calculated adventure from start to finish. Call me a fan-boy, I don’t care (I am).

Yea Demon I def can’t say the same, there are plenty of albums with similar runtimes that I find much more enjoyable (not necessarily thrash albums). I’m sure some recs could be thrown your way if you’re interested in hearing some more prog-oriented thrash but you seem to be quite hooked on these guys lol

My love for this doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy other things, I’m always happy to try new stuff.
