i meant in terms of production... you can hear an album and kinda figure out based on production what era it was from. this album though, considering it came out in 1997, the production still sounds like it could have been released yesterday.

Ehh I kind of disagree, this sounds like late '90s/early '00s alt-rock to me, though the production is definitely top-notch for its time.
