For sure, there is music that is clearly more derivative than others. Bands that dont add enough personalty to the formula of the bands that influenced them

Idk there's absolutely nothing unique about the band Gruesome because they are completely based off early Death and even though they write their own songs, all the parts are the same, just rearranged into an inferior product

@CaliggyJack Got some bad news for you, not with Vektor any longer haha, so I wouldn't know! bloc said it right. I still try to keep in touch with other guys though, they're doing pretty good overall from what I can gather.

Anyone heard that new Revocation from last year? Guitar work is utterly ridiculous on that album, anyone else feel the same?

@Demon of the Fall Haha, Ghandi is fine man, he's been very civil and his explanation was top notch, truly! I like hearing actual feedback from people on why they don't like what we did, not just "because it's shit and you're shit and everything you do is shit". There's a way to "shit" on something and be a decent person about it, as odd as that sounds haha. ANYWAY, I'm really glad you enjoyed what we did! I don't actually have a stoner doom project in the works, that...that was a joke...hope that's not disappointing to anyone. My new stuff is Vektor level and beyond son, ya better believe it. But then again it's really bad at parts to make the actual good parts stand out that much more. Smrt technique right?
