On my first listen the song that got my full attention was Scissor Lock. Holy fuck the dreamiest song ever. The lyrics really perplexed me because I didn't know it was a concept album about sleep paralysis at first haha

Not only is this one of my most favorite albums ever, but its also my 3 year old sons favorite. Every morning on the way to daycare we have to listen to Same ol' Road and Sanzen. Then on the way home we listen to It Only Took a Day and The Canyon Behind Her, which by the way is one of the best outro's ever. All while he sings along.
But aside from all the personal reasons why this album is special, it is just awesome for every reason. Sound quality, excellent song writing, lyrics, even the drums are perfect for each song and I'm usually into more metal-like drumming. Dredg is one of the few bands that people are shocked when they find out I like them. But thats fine with me.

That's adorable man. I wanna get my kids into this kinda music in the future. He'll prob get his own
taste in music earlier than most people if he likes El Cielo :D I sang along to Bon Jovi when I was
that age haha

eighteen people living in harmony is up there for me, but the one two punch of whoa is me and canyon are soooo good, its strange how this album starts kinda slowish and sleepyish and ends more aggressive, usually backwards to most albums
