This reminds me a bit of the discourse that was had when the latest Whitechapel record came out. I'm a melodies > chug guy, what can I say. I love Counterparts but I don't like END. This sounds like END. Hopefully their next full-length goes back to sounding like Counterparts

I mean yeah, I was at the Philly show and they did this but I guess for me it's not really cringe, edgy, or over the top. Until it only becomes their entire aesthetic and main point does it become that way. Look at CC and all their album covers/lyrical content. You can find it cringe or just a fun little mindless death metal record. To me it really depends on the person I guess because I don't find any of this cringe at all.



I will say though, for the Philly show they only did that for a minute. During their set something broke on stage and there was like a 15 min break.

Oh this 100 percent sounds like END! It's missing a large portion of their melodic riffing and feels just like a straight up hardcore record. I don't mind it but it certainly doesn't feel like Counterparts really. I've heard rumors though that this band is essentially done? I have no idea how much credence there is to that claim.

To Hear of War is by far the best song on here imo and it's also the most melodic. Kinda just shows how I feel about the whole thing. EP still slaps tho cause it's a talented band
