I liked this pretty well, but the slower pace kinda throws me off. The atmosphere is really consistent though and they definitely achieved the brooding heavy album they were going for. Might grow on me though.

All up I don’t think the 06-09 Maiden Megadeth & Metallica releases were very good

This and Endgame are killer records (tho this beats Endgame by a significant margin)

Death Magnetic sucks tho, agreed

Of the post BNW albums, I prefer Dance of Death and Book of Souls to this

Interesting, i can see people prefering DoD because it's a straighter and more in your face release, but preferring Book of Souls to this is a bit sus gotta say. That record is a bloated slog, almost nothing eventful happens during it's entire runtime. i mean it's not a bad record it's just a snoozefest imo

Having heard the previous 13 albums in chronological order. This is for sure my favorite so far. Pleasantly surprised considering I was not too fond of the last two albums with the return of the original singer. On song 9/10. Almost done

After finishing my first listen with this album. it is my favorite for sure, no competition. couple tracks had weaker parts but overall each song was great. some choruses could have been stronger but the music made up for it. This did not feel like 72 minutes.

Personal Standout "Weaker" track:

Different World

Favorite Song:

Brighter than a thousand suns
