Was really starting to lose hope in this year, the last few weeks are better than the first 7 months of 2021.

No Demon. Reading all the revs made already is journey enough XD

Ugh, someone threw shade at Slowdive's vox and now I'm pissed. If that's representative of the thread's quality then I'm better of elsewhere.
Unsubscribe.

Some of these songs seem kinda bland at first listen, but The Gnashing just hits me somehow.

We all love Slowdive, don't worry about that, Rachel and Neil are top!
"Checked King Woman Valek?"
I have it on the "To-check" list, my partner told me about it and I watched a video on youtube, it was interesting music, i'll do it eventually, Leprous new one is this week and I was digging Ulver and Deftones, plus this one so im kinda full rn, hahaha not that I complain tho, really nice recomendations that I'm getting around these parts.

new sugar horse this friday, the pre-release singles have been great. don't even see a listing for that band at all on this site though. they're kind of like a blend of post metal, hardcore, and shoegaze, but it's hard to categorize them since they don't even sound like the same band from track to track.
i have no complaints this year. some truly fantastic stuff. lantlos, king woman, and the armed all released masterpieces.
this shoegaze / post rock by numbers album from deafheaven isn't a disappointment to me, i've been bored by them since the beginning.

Aight bumpin' up on second listen. End of The Gnashing is lovely, along with a handful of other moments.

I didn't mean to throw shade at Slowdive's vox, I'm no expert on the band. Was just trying to say I don't like Clarke's vox

It's okay, I was just skim-reading and it stood out - not sure I was even talking about you specifically. I thought this many pages must've produced some heated discussion.
The Gnashing is somewhat notable, definitely threatens to break away from the mundane for a while there.

Not to throw shade at Slowdive, but Neil's vocals on s/t are worse than Clarke on this.

not to throw shade on slowdive but christian savill is the best singer in that band and he doesn't sing for them

tbf Slowdive (LP) may as well not exist as far as I'm concerned (maybe I'm trying hard to forget it). It doesn't hold up to any of their other material.

'no longer making time' is a pretty good jam from s/t though

Good luck finding that bigger and better audience, Deafheaven. I'm sure there's a niche for innocent little choir boys, somewhere.
