exact other way around for me lol. i like the melodies but his singing voice itself sounds like it's straining to hit some of that stuff to me (might just be the natural timbre of his voice but its a little sharp in a way that slightly irks me)

I like Marcus' cleans. They feel way less whiny than most other core bands out rn. If this was any other vocalist they would've tried to Spencer Sotelo these hooks to death and it woulda been unbearable.

lol i dont need jesse in other bands i already have erra. just think marcus generally sounds better when he's not pushing the absolute shit out of his high register and wish that wasn't the general direction of a handful of the record's hooks
its a nitpick tho since the melodies themselves are dope so it's not that hard to look past, plus all is forgiven when he's dropping them beefy lows
