Maybe Bruce during his Samson or No Prayer for the Dying Days would have been okay because he kind of cut down on the operatic stuff, but D'ianno is the perfect vocalist for this album, and his raspiness plays a huge part in how well he fits here.

I actually think Owens' vox probably would sound better on Painkiller than Halford's hilarious chipmunk vox. They wouldn't necessarily be a better fit but they'd prob be less cringeworthy.
