Gotta go with ny gut and bump this down a notch. It still feels as though it drops off a little on its back half, with the exception of Barstardizer and Lambert.

If it’s anything like their tour with Manchester, they’ll likely play mostly this, Night Channels/Weave/Eiffel and Rory/The Medic. Think they’ll play Slapstick, Gameshark, Nearer My God, Bastardizer, Won’t Drown, Dillard’s and close with Lambert. Looking forward to it either way

1.0 seems too low. 1.5 seems too high so I get what you mean

they sold out by me but that was my own fault, I've been going to a lot of things and I've already seen them twice in the past year so I passed but I'm gonna regret it. I really wanna see...all of these live.

I can’t see most of this even competing on stage with their older stuff. They’ll probably headline Coachella next year so maybe keep an eye out for pre-order tickets and they’ll only play this.

when I saw them last they played Lich Prince, Slapstick, and Gameshark all in a row well before this album was even announced. Slapstick and Gameshark were the highlights of the night.
I think they'll have a good mix live

I remember seeing them open for Brand New back when The Albatross was new. It fit then, but now I couldn’t see them opening for a band of that caliber. It’s funny how much they’ve gone downhill. Man The Albatross is such a good album and so is Dealer. This is just a mess. I miss them when they were actually good and not confused. The Albatross is just a hidden gem. Dealer is The Albatross with a slick sheen but still just as good. Who even knows what the hell this is... they don’t even know. It’s a damn shame.

They never went downhill tbh

This isn’t even the same band who did the last two albums and that’s a fact.

Damn bands using the same name

dealer is the weakest of the bunch for me, can often feel steeped in melodrama. there is a confusion with this but it’s part of the charm and not to the album’s detriment

Brushed, regardless of how you feel about this album, I don't think you can go as far as to say it's a completely different band after pointing out that you did enjoy the past two. This was clearly an experiment on their part and who's to say it is indicative of what their next release will be? If they do return to form, are they the same band again even after releasing this?
No need to get so dramatic about it. This is a polarizing album but referring to it as a downgrade is silly when it's clearly just something different.
