Kyle is really irritating on all of the singles so far =( Not a lot of hope left for the album.

He's going to be a consistent hindrance unless he gets some assistance on his singing. His comfortable range is too small and the tone is droning and apathetic.

And when he stretches outside that range, all bets are off on how it sounds. . . . .

Like I really had high hopes for these guys, and this album isn't nearly as offensive as some find it. But they're sapping the energy out of it and it's not a good decision.

Vocals are still not very good on the new song, but it's way better than anything on this

That's an interesting pairing. JD is a lot heavier, unless Pianos still play older songs?

I checked their 3 singles again to prepare before it dropped, and man they were still pretty awful. Not looking forward to checking the whole thing lol

I'm mortally afraid to listen to the new album. The Lack Long After and Keep You are two of my favorites albums ever.

It's just confusing. They wanted to go a happier route, but it felt like they took the energy out of their older works to make it happen. Instead of doubling down and improving, they went back to being sad and dumped off even more energy? It's just a weird pivot to make, I never hated this album or where it could potentially lead, and it's like they caved in to people complaining they weren't emo enough or something.

oof that first listen was rough. Snooze fest and very bad vocal lines.

I met the mother of my child over our mutual love for this band. I feel sick right now. Wtf happened?
