This is such a seamless vibe. Smooth, elegant and evocative. I must say that despite the calming nature of certain segments, it retains an almost tangible energy and is consistently progressing in engaging ways. Mingus’s tone is incredible here too
For all of Jo Co’s (lol yes I’m using this) and Miles’s fantastic material (not to mention others) this may pip them all

One could argue that they’re equally good, but very different flavors.

God the energy explosion to smooth vibe balance here is perfect. Also unbelievable how this almost feels like full-on fusion at points with the whole third steam + flamenco leanings. The seamlessness of all the components is insanely impressive considering. And my word the tone / production here is top notch
Idk jazz theory or whatever but this (and some other jazz) has slowed down to the point I can now just sit back and enjoy without all the previous challenges. It’s no longer mostly built upon respect and intrigue, but true “appreciation” I suppose (at least in an instinctive visceral way, if not cerebral in a theory sense). Blessed timeline.
